Sharpie Pens

For some reason, Sharpie pens make more sense.

How much more intelligent do you feel when writing with a smooth pen that makes great lines than with an average pen? Thought so. I guess it's not the consistency so much, but then again it is. The easier that words are to write, physically, the easier they flow with eloquence. But also, feeling fancy while writing contributes to a large part of this ease.

I guess Sharpie pens are a metaphor for a lot of things. For example, the term "dress to impress." Who are you impressing? Others? Or are you trying to build up your confidence by dressing to impress? It's very psychological. That's also why women spend thousands of dollars on clothing every year- they want to feel confident about themselves and they do so by buying clothes that make them feel confident.

Also, it could be that I'm just picky about the types of pens that I use. Last year, whenever I had to write down anything that I needed to remember, I would do it in blue pen. It's no surprise that when I wrote something down at random in a pen that was blue, I remembered it better. I associate blue with the need to remember.

Maybe I associate fancy pens with length of the writing. Or with detail. Whatever it is, Sharpie pens let me write in a way that makes sense to me.

Omegle pokemon References

So today, without meaning to be racist, I thought I would see how well a pokemon reference aimed at Asian Indians would go down. I mean lets face it, whenever you come face to face with an Indian the first thing they hit you with is "ASL". After a few hours of playing around with omegle, questioning the asl'ers (Yes I have a lot of time on my hands right now) I came to the conclusion that the majority of people who seem to asl the moment you say hi, are Indians. Here is one of the conversations I then encountered in spy mode when people were faced with my question:

You're now watching two strangers discuss your question!
Question to discuss:
A wild Indian♂ appeared! Indian♂ used asl! ಠ__ಠ Pokedex: "Indian♂; The curry type pokemon, commonly seen prowling the omegle region. Indian♂ often uses the move asl to gain info of age and gender"

Stranger 1: wtf?

Stranger 2: a wild finnish appeared

Stranger 2: finnish used block asl

Stranger 1: f 16 argentina

Stranger 1: u?

Stranger 2: pokedex: finnish, the drunk type pokemon, commonly seen prowling the streets.

Stranger 2: finnish often uses the move block asl to not give info she doesn't want to

Stranger 2: f, 18 finland.

Ahhh, toying with the boundaries of normal social contact... It can be so much fun!

Oceans Away

Uncanny meetings are a particular specialty of mine, but under no circumstances other than these would I consider admitting that I met someone on a random chat site. Omegle, you were supposed to be my secret guilty pleasure. Exposed.

Some call him Blueberry, which is easy enough to keep straight. Some call me Killer Queen, so we were even in that respect. He chooses to refer to me as 'number 7,' which is alright as well.

Beginning the conversation dripping with wit, we bantered for around an hour before I realized that our communication was too amazing to be kept a secret. Realizing this, we started jokingly brainstorming the ways in which we could share our wit and charisma with the world. Not wanting to lose sight of our amazing ability to come up with ideas, I asked if he wanted to start a blog with me, and he agreed. Quickly obtaining a URL, I walked Blueberry through the ropes of how to post and how to work the website. Satisfied, he wrote his first post, both on this blog and in his internet experience.

Our intention is to bring wit, profoundness and intelligence to the web, together. We figured that, since we met online, the natural progression of our friendship should be online as well. Not to mention the fact that people from the UK and people from the US can't simply meet for a casual cup of coffee.

Stay tuned- we have big ideas for the future.

Number 7

And so the journey begins... The story of Bananas and Dogs.

It had been a sleepless night for myself, what, with the dog going mad at the storm outside. Little did I know that a chance meeting with a complete stranger would lead to the sort of witty banter that brings blogs like this one about.
Omegle... A place of witty banter, angry individuals and other spawn of the internet. As chance had it, I met 'Killer Queen'. For those of you who are wondering, you can call me Blueberry.
We want to you come along, experience our adventure as your own as we delve into the unknown, the unanswered questions many of you would dare not ask, or for that matter, even think of in some cases...

I will not let on any more for the moment... You will just have to stay tuned and see what happens.
